A group of Berkeley Kiwanians and Circle K'ers from Cal came out in force to Walden Center and School. recently to help out with much-needed renovations. The school is getting ready for the 60th year providing child-centered education to the Berkeley community and had their kindergarten classroom completely repainted and refinished. We helped haul all the classroom furniture, books, and supplies back into the classroom from storage, rehang bulletin boards and other classroom fixtures, weeding out some hardy tap-root weeds, and apply linseed oil to ALL the exposed wooden surfaces. It's unbelievable how much we were able to get done in 3 hours (see all the photos)! Great job Team!
